Brightening Peel

Brightening peels exfoliate the surface of the skin to improve the appearance of dullness, rough texture and uneven-looking tone. Available formulas may contain glycolic acid, lactic acid, mandelic acid, salicylic acid or combinations of exfoliating ingredients. Choose only products clearly designed and labelled for home use, and follow the stated frequency and contact time exactly. Do not apply peels to irritated or broken skin, and avoid combining several strong exfoliants during the same routine. Strong chemical peels can cause burns, scarring and changes in pigmentation and should be used only with qualified professional supervision. Sunscreen is especially important after exfoliation.
